PP and PE membranes have an inner diameter of the membrane of approx. 5mm, the pore sizes are 0.2 micron and 1 micron, and they are especially suitable for the separation of hard/abrasive particles from liquids, which can easily damage the active layer of membranes made from hard materials like ceramics or metals.
